Where the work is soulful…
and the soul will not be tamed

Not a path. A Thicket. Welcome to the trailhead.

This isn’t therapy or coaching.

It’s soul-tending.
Where we walk barefoot in the sacred bramble.

Where we live not for applause, but for aliveness.

Forget the Ladder

let’s climb the roots!

Sol Work Creative is a depth psychology-informed, soul-centered practice for seekers, artists, and creators who are done performing, done polishing, and done pretending to be further along than they are.

Maybe you’re tangled in creative projects.
Maybe you’re grieving something you’ve never been able to name.
Maybe you’re haunted by the poetry major you abandoned.

This isn’t a space for polished goals or productivity hacks.

It’s a space for the part of you quietly aching for more.

More aliveness.
More meaning.
More gloriously weird conversations.

Here, we tend your soul .
We compost old you.
We make space for creativity, ritual, and soul work that refuses to fit neatly into packaged boxes.

You don’t need fixing.

You may need to rot a little.

And I know how to hold space for throwing a tantrum in the swamp.

What we might do together

  • Soul Tending

Life is tragical—beauty tangled with heartbreak. I know how to be there in the bog with you, no 5-step plan, no programs, just empty hands and reverence for the mystery. We will tend your soul while you navigate life transitions, loss, and the search for that elusive “something more.”

  • Creativity Cultivating

Where half-baked ideas, creative wounds, and tangled knots become fertile soil for that idea that’s a bit “too much” and maybe scares you a little. Creative guidance by a fellow creative for writers, artists, and makers wrestling with creative blocks and the work that won't let them go.

  • Rituals and Threshold Ceremonies

Mark the thresholds the world ignores. Grieve what’s been lost. Celebrate what’s becoming. Craft rituals that don’t require matching candles. Grief rituals, threshold ceremonies, and rites of passage — online and in person, Ventura, California and beyond.

  • “Lori was always a rare talent. Her willingness to speak up and yet listen, her strength of conviction and yet her openness to contrary opinion, all wrapped up in a winning personality, made her an indispensable presence in the room. In a word, the highest recommendation.”

Dr. Thomas West, Professor and Author

  • “Lori’s “What Next” column is as unique as she is, and has been a highlight in River Valley Woman Magazine. She can adapt to a variety of subjects and themes, which also made her a great choice for Chapters grief newsletter. Her style is down to earth, and a one-of-a-kind voice sparked with humor and gut-punching insight.”

Eileen Madsen, River Valley Woman editor, and owner/editor of Chapters newsletter

  • “Lori is a woman of great wisdom and insight. Her honesty, creativity, and deep listening to others are vital in her work. As a presenter, Lori brings forth vibrant images and rich  stories regarding a holistic, spiritual, and HAPPY life to groups and individuals.”

    Mary Pauluk, Board Certified Chaplain

Feeling the Nudge?

This isn’t the part where I say

“Book your breakthrough now!”

This is the part where I say:

If something inside you said

“Omg, YES” while you read this—that’s enough.

No sales funnel.
No urgency.
No promise to change your life in 6 easy steps.

Just an open door.
Just a conversation.
Just a chance to see what’s aching to be named, composted, tended, or sung into being.

If you’re feeling the nudge, you’re invited.
I’d be honored to walk a few crooked steps with you.

Start Your Next Adventure in an oceanfront office unlike any other

That’s right…my couch is on wheels!

We meet one-on-one — online or in person — and I bring no clipboard, no curriculum, no tidy soul map. Just presence, honest questions, and a willingness to sit in the not-knowing with you until something sacred starts to move.

Find me along the Ventura, CA coastline and beyond.
